DSC_0003.JPGSix Panhandle Fly fishers all joined up in West bay this Saturday morning. We headed out at 7 am and agreed to meet again at noon. It was a beautiful morning with calm wind -perfect for fly fishing.

Some of us vent far out and others stayed close to the launch area. There were plenty of reds around the shallow sand flats but it was not a easy game! The sand made it easy to spot the fish and today they seemed harder to spook!  Several perfect shots to Reds but the fish was obviously focused on something else.  Jim was perhaps the last Mann in the Kayak but the first (and only) to land a nice Red!  As tradition has it we ended the day with hotdogs and good stories.
