West Bay February 2010

marsh_2010__Large_.jpgJanuary started out fantastic with my best day ever on Westbay, 5 slot reds landed fishing from my Hobie.  As the days went by fishing slowed down and after several rain days the water got very dirty for awhile.  This presented me with a opportunity to try to blind cast to reds in known fish holding areas,

Chasing reds at Jekyll Island, GA

Just after the new year, I spent two very cold afternoons chasing reds at Jekyll Island, GA.  The afternoons were in the mid-40's with a moderate wind, and with about five layers of clothes on, the weather was almost tolerable.  The water temp on the flats was 47 degrees.IMG_1001.jpeg  The guide's boat was a brand-new Hell's Bay Whipray with a 90 hp Yamaha. Very nice.

Fishing report December 2009

 -  This December was my best success fishing from my Hobie yet.  On two occassions I managed to land multiple fish and fed a few more.
